Emily Vener, SEEDS of Learning Coach

Emily is a SEEDS of Learning Coach at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. She provides professional development support to help teachers improve outcomes in language, and enhance the social and emotional development of young children in Oakland preschool and transitional kindergarten classrooms.

Emily has been a teacher of children throughout the early childhood span – infancy to five years old. She has also been a coach, an inclusion specialist for children with special needs, and a family literacy coordinator. Most recently Emily taught transitional kindergarten at Lazear Elementary.

She loves to teach children and educators and observe their growth. Emily has a BA in Early Childhood Education from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.
