Pat Curcio, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President
Pat is Chief Operating Officer for the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. She was Kenneth Rainin’s assistant for a number of years until he passed away in 2007. During that time, the skills and knowledge she gained from working for Mr. Rainin laid the ground work for stepping into her initial Foundation role as Program Officer for Health. In addition, because Mr. Rainin himself suffered greatly from Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Pat was able to see firsthand the devastating effects of this terrible disease. She has dedicated herself to helping the Foundation advance its efforts to find a cure for IBD.
Pat’s experience includes working for a San Francisco Bay Area family foundation, where she organized Board meetings, made site visits, conducted extensive research, and developed summary reports and funding recommendations. Her background also includes advocating for special needs children and adults. Her fundraising experience has benefitted several East Bay nonprofit organizations that serve the special needs community. Through her extensive volunteer and fundraising efforts, these nonprofit organizations have become more visible within the community, resulting in an increase in community outreach and support for their growth.
