Grant Report Guidelines

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation requires all of its grantees to complete grant reports. This practice enables the Foundation to evaluate each organization’s progress toward achieving the project goals set forth in the proposal, and the effectiveness of the grant overall. The information gleaned from reports allows the Foundation to identify successful strategies within each program area and guides our future grantmaking. Information in grant reports is carefully reviewed by Arts Program Staff.

Grantees may review requirements and submit their reports via our online grants system. To learn more about the requirements and report schedules associated with the Rainin Foundation’s Arts grants, reference the specific program through which your organization received support below.

GRANTS SYSTEM

New and Experimental Works (NEW) Program

  • NEW Program grant recipients are required to submit a report on the funded project through our online grants system within the 60-day period following the Project End Date selected in the application.
  • A PDF of the NEW Program grant report requirements is available, however is subject to change. Please consult our online system for the most up to date version of the report and for submission purposes.
  • The Foundation understands that due to the nature of the artistic process, projects may shift over the course of the grant period and some changes may occur. If there are significant changes in the course of your project and/or you need to extend your Project End Date, please contact Arts Program Staff.

RENEW Program

  • RENEW Program grant recipients are required to submit interim reports after years one and two of the program, as well as a final report at the conclusion of the program in year three. Interim reports are typically due in May at the end of years one and two, while the final report is due in August at the end of year three. Please consult your grant agreement for specific deadlines for your reports.
  • All RENEW Program grant reports must be submitted via our online grants system.
  • A PDF of the interim grant report requirements is available, however may be subject to change. Please consult our online system for the most up to date version of the report and for submission purposes.
  • The Foundation understands that due to the nature of the artistic process and evolving strategies, programs may shift over the course of the grant period and some changes may occur. If there are significant changes in your program, please contact Arts Program Staff.

Impact Program

  • Impact Program grant recipients are required to submit interim reports at the end of years one and two of the program, as well as a final report at the conclusion of the program in year three. Interim reports are typically due in December at the end of years one and two, while the final report is due in February following year three. Please consult your grant agreement for specific deadlines for your reports.
  • All Impact Program grant reports must be submitted via our online grants system.
  • PDFs of the interim grant report and final grant report requirements are available, however may be subject to change. Please consult our online system for the most up to date version of the report and for submission purposes.
  • The Foundation understands that due to the nature of the capacity building process, plans may shift over the course of the grant period and some changes may occur. If there are significant changes in your capacity building plan, please contact Arts Program Staff.
