KRISY GOSNEY
Krisy Gosney wrote and directed the short narrative film Gator Armstrong Plays with Dolls which has screened at over 15 festivals, including Dances With Films, Santa Cruz Intl Film Festival and DC Shorts Fest. Experimenting with Super-8 film, Krisy’s made gritty, personal shorts that have screened at Frameline’s San Francisco Gay and Lesbian Intl Film Festival. Krisy’s written several short film scripts for award-winning directors.
Writing for the theater, Krisy’s Are These Your Panties? debuted at Theater Rhinoceros where it was a Bay Area Critic’s Pick and enjoyed sold-out audiences and an extended run. Take It Like A Man and other plays have received staged readings throughout the Bay Area.
Krisy is the winner of two James A. Michener Fellowships and an Alfred P. Sloan Screenwriting Award for Rocket Man. She received an MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA.
GRANT AWARDED
In 2010, Krisy Gosney received a SFFS/KRF grant for screenwriting for Manhandled, the story of an edgy San Francisco lesbian couple whose world is turned upside down when one of them embarks on a sex change and they are faced with becoming a straight couple.
