We Love Oakland Teachers

Above: Watch our short video and see the magic that is happening in Oakland classrooms.

It’s Teacher Appreciation Day and we’re high-fiving the dedicated teachers who are helping Oakland children make amazing leaps in learning. Their students shared some very cute appreciations of love, which are included in our short video. Help us celebrate an amazing teacher you know by sharing this video.

Dear Teachers,

Dr. Seuss once said a few powerful words about how much you can mean to your children, “To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.”

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.– Dr. Seuss

Today is Teacher Appreciation Day! We THANK YOU for your presence in children’s lives! We can’t even count the number of times we have peeked into your classrooms and seen magic happen. And your children are feeling that magic.

No one can express what you mean to your kids—and to our world—better than they can. They wanted to send you a letter and tell you how important you are to them. Play our short video and see some of the many appreciations and expressions of love from Oakland children to you.

To them, you may just be the world.

Love and gratitude,
From all of us at the Kenneth Rainin Foundation

The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is leading the funding and implementation of SEEDS of Learning in Oakland. This relationship-based professional development program provides educators and parents with strategies to build social, emotional, language and literacy skills in young children, so they are ready to succeed in kindergarten.
