The Kenneth Rainin Foundation has appointed William Rogers to its Board of Directors. Rogers is President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties (SFGoodwill), and has significant experience in the nonprofit and government sectors.
Rogers will work in partnership with the Rainin Foundation’s Board of Directors, which includes Rivkah Beth Medow, Eric Rodenbeck and Jennifer Rainin, CEO of the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. Together they will oversee the Foundation’s grantmaking, finance and operations, and advance the Foundation’s mission.
“We are thrilled to have William join the Board of Directors,” said Dr. Rainin. “With his leadership experience and lifelong dedication to service, we are confident that he will help strengthen our efforts in education, health and the arts.”
Prior to his tenure at Goodwill, Rogers worked for the City of Berkeley for almost 18 years, serving most recently as Deputy City Manager.
“I cannot think of a more exciting time to join the Board of Directors of this innovative organization,” said Rogers. “The Kenneth Rainin Foundation has become a national leader in arts, early education and research on Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It has introduced smart, bold initiatives that address tough problems, and I’m grateful to apply my experience to support and strengthen those efforts.”
Rogers has a BA in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MA in Human Resources and Organization Development from the University of San Francisco.
