“Pride of the People”

Oakland-based Cut Fruit Collective will use development funds to instigate a research and development process investigating the heritage and histories of Oakland’s multicultural and multigenerational Asian American and Pacific Islander immigrant community. Centering music as a connecting medium, the project aims to reimagine temporary public art as a participatory act of cultural memory, healing and intergenerational exchange.
