Carissa Ibert is the Grants Associate for the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. She provides tactical and operational assistance for grant processes, as well as knowledge management, data analysis and training for the Grants Management & Learning Team.  

Before joining the Foundation, Carissa was an Analyst at Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors. There, she managed a portfolio of 12 fiscally sponsored projects, overseeing their global and domestic grant dockets and operational needs. Carissa transitioned into philanthropy after a career in arts administration. She held key roles at organizations such as Cutting Ball Theater, where she served as General Manager, the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the San Francisco Girls Chorus. She has participated as a grants review panelist for the California Arts Council and currently volunteers with the Gill Tract Community Farm in Albany, California as well as the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. 

Carissa holds a BA from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and a Masters of Literature in Dramaturgy and Playwrighting from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.
