Mari Hashimoto is an Accounting Manager with the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. She manages the Accounting team’s daily financial reporting activities and ensures accounting records are pristine. Mari also works closely with the Finance team to account for investment transactions and with the Foundation’s Controller and Finance Director on year-end and monthly financial statements, audits and tax filings.
She has over 18 years of accounting experience in various industries. Prior to joining the Foundation, Mari handled finances for The Luggage Store Gallery, a multi-disciplinary nonprofit in San Francisco and for the Rainin Group, a company established by Kenneth Rainin. She has worked extensively in the art and design industry, where she established accounting procedures and organized financial data for graphic design firms, art galleries and startups.
Mari holds a BS in Accounting from the University of San Francisco, and an Associate degree in Fashion Design from the Joshibi Junior College of Art and Design in Tokyo.
