Karina Ryan is the Executive Team Officer for the Kenneth Rainin Foundation providing essential administrative support to the CEO and Executive Director, serving as the liaison for the Board of Directors, facilitating efficiencies in operations and enhancing the Foundation’s effectiveness. She collaborates with the Executive Team on project planning and implementation, helping to manage change by coordinating activities and communications and engaging in cross-departmental initiatives.

Before holding this position, Karina was Executive Assistant from 2018-2024, where she offered high-level administrative support to the CEO. She also developed communications and worked closely with the Executive and Leadership Teams to ensure alignment of priorities and execute strategic plans.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Karina assisted the Vice Provost for Graduate Studies at University of California, Berkeley. She has experience managing major giving at the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, supporting government and foundation activities at the American Museum of Natural History, and lobbying for HIV and community health organizations.

Karina holds a BA in Environmental Studies from the State University of New York, Binghamton.
