Richard McConnell is Director, Information Technology (IT), for the Kenneth Rainin Foundation. He is responsible for managing the Foundation’s information systems and technologies to support its mission and goals. He has extensive experience in IT and Operations, and in balancing the strategic and tactical demands of IT management roles.
Prior to joining the Foundation, he was Director of IT for a global nonprofit based in San Francisco. In this role, he planned and directed systems migrations, oversaw staff training on systems and security issues, and managed a global service desk. Richard previously worked in the adventure travel field, holding IT and operations roles in Europe, Africa and the United States.
Richard has a BA in Business Management from Saint Mary’s College of California.
