“J-Town, Chinatown, Our Town”

A multidisciplinary, multimedia, full-length work written by Brenda Wong Aoki and scored by Mark Izu. Drawing on the artist’s family’s 122-year history in San Francisco, OurTown will incorporate stories about real people and events, using text, film, alternative media, dance and live music. The work will premiere as part of The Center for Asian American Media’s CAAMFest 2021.
