For a reading readiness program that engages parents of children in daily book sharing routines, trains teachers and parents, and supports Transitional Kindergarten classrooms (Birth to age 8).

For the Oakland Early Literacy Initiative delivered via 19 Oakland health clinics (Birth to age 5).

To continue to align literacy curriculum and interventions with the Common Core Standards for school-aged children (K to 3rd grade).

For Saturday School Tutoring Program with take home books for children and families.

To provide professional development for transitional kindergarten teachers in Oakland.

For the Oakland Preschool Initiative, a project to expand access and use of the Read Aloud Guide developed for teachers and caregivers. Bring Me a Book will provide training, classrooms libraries and parent engagement workshops for 25 Oakland preschools.

To support the Oakland Literacy Coalition’s Literacy Zones at Cox and Reach Elementary Schools in Oakland.

To support the Succeeding by Reading (SbR) literacy program in 14 Oakland schools.
