The Alameda County Community Food Bank is a nonprofit organization dedicated to alleviating hunger and food insecurity in the Alameda County area through food distribution, education and advocacy. Their Backpack Program distributes non-perishable food “backpacks” at schools to support families experiencing food insecurity.
The Kenneth Rainin Foundation enhances quality of life by championing the arts, promoting early childhood literacy, and supporting research to cure chronic disease.
