“The Compton’s Cafeteria Riot Play”

A year-long site-specific work set in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, in a reimagined production highlighting the first recorded act of militant queer resistance against social oppression and police harassment in the US. A hybrid of theater, site-specific interactivity and living history, the piece will foster community engagement and support for the Trans community.
