Poster Sessions
Interested in sharing your research at the Innovations Symposium? Digital posters will be displayed during interactive sessions. Poster presenters must be at their poster monitor during their session. Abstracts will be made available to all Symposium attendees through an online portal. Guidelines for creating a digital poster will be shared with those whose abstracts are accepted. Learn more about submitting an abstract below.
Travel Awards
To encourage students and postdocs to attend the Symposium, the Foundation offers Travel Awards to those who present their research at the event. Please note: trainees of Rainin Foundation funded projects do not need to apply for a Travel Award as your Principal Investigator should have funding in their budget for you to attend.
Travel Awards cover the conference registration fee, two nights lodging at the Palace Hotel and economy airfare. All travel will be booked through our travel agent and the Foundation will make hotel arrangements for Travel Award recipients. Please do not register for the Symposium until after you have been notified that your application for a Travel Award was approved.
Dates & Deadlines
March 31, 2026
Submit an abstract and apply for a Travel Award by March 31 to share your research in a digital poster session at the Innovations Symposium.
April 17, 2026
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. The Rainin Foundation will contact you within two weeks of your submission. Everyone will hear back by April 17 to confirm selection for a digital poster session and Travel Award.
June 26, 2026
Registration closes for the 2026 Innovations Symposium on June 26. Make sure to register for the Symposium in addition to submitting an abstract. If you are applying for a Travel Award, please wait to register for the event until you have heard back from the Rainin Foundation.

Award Application Process
- Submit An Abstract
Click the button below to begin the abstract submission process. Current Rainin Foundation grantees and their trainees, as well as former Rainin Foundation grantees, do not need to submit an abstract to present a digital poster. Grantees can indicate if they want to present a poster when registering for the Symposium. - Apply For A Travel Award
If you are a Trainee applying to share your research at the Symposium, click “yes” under “Would you like to apply for a Travel Award?” directly in the abstract submission form. - Apply By March 31
Once you have completed the abstract submission form, be sure to click Submit. Applications are due March 31, 2026. - Selections Made By April 17
The Rainin Foundation will contact you by April 17, 2026, to confirm whether you have been selected to present your research in a digital poster session at the Symposium. Relevant applicants will also be notified by this date if they have been selected to receive a Travel Award. - Register For The Symposium
