California Institute for Quantitative Biosciences (QB3) is a partnership between the state of California, private industry, venture capital and three University of California campuses. It advances biological research through quantitative tools drawn from physics, chemistry, engineering and mathematics. To stimulate multidisciplinary research, QB3 sponsors seminars, informal workshops and large formal symposia.
The Kenneth Rainin Foundation enhances quality of life by championing the arts, promoting early childhood literacy, and supporting research to cure chronic disease.
