“Fruits of Liberation”

“Fruits of Liberation” is a culminating activation amplifying the abolitionist teachings of 1000 recently planted fruit trees throughout deep East Oakland. Using interactive art, food sovereignty and storytelling workshops, lead artists Kate DeCiccio and El Sobrante-based organization Planting Justice will create four pop-up installations that convene neighbors to strengthen collaborative networks of tree care and food sharing.
