Director’s Message: Inspiring Collaboration
The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is delighted to share our online health resource on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) with you. It offers a comprehensive overview of our growing Health portfolio, our areas of interest and the extraordinary scientists we support, as well as an opportunity to learn more about our future directions.
We created this site to have a central tool for sharing research in progress—what our grantees are testing and learning. The Foundation seeks to elevate and explain funded research efforts and approaches with an audacious goal in mind: by highlighting projects we support and out-of-the-box ideas, opportunities will open for researchers to collaborate, increasing connections that nurture discoveries. We also hope that this tool will entice participation by informing potential funders and partners of the advances we are working toward. We believe that this increased synergy has the potential to make transformational progress in IBD research, bringing science closer to the patient.
We invite you to explore this site and look through Our Vision to see how your work could fit into our goals for preventing, predicting and eventually curing IBD. These goals are reflected in our funding opportunities and will shape future initiatives we create. We encourage you to reach out to us to discuss your ideas and potential projects.
As our Health portfolio expands, we too are experimenting with new ways to uncover the scientific discoveries that will help the patient by connecting researchers and physicians to fast track the idea of a world without IBD.
Together, we can solve IBD.
