The Kenneth Rainin Foundation is pleased to announce the promotions of Megan De Trane and Tavin Jensen to newly created roles.

Megan has stepped into the role of Digital Communications Officer. She originally joined the Foundation eight years ago as Communications Coordinator, and along the way expanded her skill set and found her focus on digital marketing and communications. She led the development of the Foundation’s website and has helped boost our reach and presence across social media. As her responsibilities have grown, she has taken on each new challenge with energy and success.

In her new role, Megan will continue to define and manage the Foundation’s digital communications and marketing functions, working closely with our grantees and partners to create clear and effective content that supports our collective efforts. She will also collaborate with Foundation staff to share what we’re learning and promote grantee projects. Megan is passionate about equity in user experience and leads the Foundation’s efforts in this area. She will prioritize ensuring our communications are user-friendly and reach a range of audiences, and coordinate accessibility training for staff.

Tavin Jensen has been promoted to Senior Investment Analyst, reflecting his strong contributions across several key areas in developing, administering and overseeing the Foundation’s investment portfolio. He plays an important role in sourcing new investment managers and introducing improved risk metrics. In the last year, Tavin established pacing models for our Private Investment Program and created new tools to better track performance and get a clear view of our portfolio. More recently, he has been leading efforts to integrate AI into our investment processes. In his expanded role, Tavin will continue to advance these initiatives while taking on additional leadership opportunities.
