A site-specific immersive performance in the streets and buildings of San Francisco’s Mission District. FUGUE is a foray into cultural amnesia and nostalgia, featuring forgotten stories from the queer community, people of color, and long-time San Francisco residents.

East Bay Agency for Children (EBAC) improves the well-being of children, youth and families by reducing the impact of trauma and social inequities. EBAC’s transformational programs help children, youth and families recover from trauma; build upon existing resilience to protect against long-term harm from past or future exposure to adversity; and when possible, prevent exposure to adverse childhood experiences.

East Oakland Youth Development Center (EOYDC) works to develop the social and leadership capacities of youth and young adults (ages 5 to 24) to prepare them for employment, higher education and leadership. EOYDC is a community-based solution for solving social injustice and inequality, and a national model for youth development.

To support 15 elementary schools. School leaders, teachers and coaches will work intensively to boost instruction in transitional kindergarten to first grade. As a learning community, one of the key goals is to strengthen Oakland’s understanding of effective long-term, sustainable strategies that will result in all children reading successfully by third grade.
